Napier Realtors ERA Proudly Supports the USO Center in Richmond


Napier Realtors is proud to be a founding sponsor of the new USO Center at Richmond International Airport.

Since the USO’s primary mission is to enhance the quality of life of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families, partnering with the USO right here in the Richmond area is a way for Napier Realtors to show their heartfelt thanks to our men and women in uniform and their families.



The agents and staff at Napier's area offices are collecting items to donate to the Center -- snacks, drinks, paperback books, magazines, and toiletry items such as travel size hand sanitizer, lotion, and lip balm -- and committing to volunteer their time to work in the Center one day a month. The cart of donations has been overflowing with goodies for "our" troops!


A huge THANK YOU! to everyone for donating items that were on the Center's wish list or giving of your time by volunteering at the Center!!

22nd Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Duck Race


Saturday, July 30th, 2011 on Brown's Island starting at 11am.

This is a completely free, family event with inflatables, characters, rock walls, vendors, free snow cones provided by Captain D's. Get your “ducks” for the BIG SPLASH of up to 20,000 ducks swimming their way down the Canal and competing for prizes. There are 12 prizes this year with the top prize being a 2011 Nissan Versa courtesy of Sheehy Nissan Mechanicsville.

All proceeds go to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond & Tri-Cities.

Commercial/Multifamily Real Estate Markets Show the Turn of the Real Estate Cycle

RISMEDIA, July 15, 2011—The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) released its Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Quarterly Data Book for the first quarter of 2011. First quarter data on the commercial real estate markets show the natural effects of the turn of the real estate cycle. Broader economic indicators were positive in the first quarter, but provided less of a tail wind to commercial real estate markets than they might have. Despite this softness, real estate fundamentals have stabilized and are beginning to show signs of mending. Transaction volumes are picking up, and pricing and loan performance are showing initial signs—inconsistent though they are—of improvement. Any pick-up in economic growth will speed the healing; any slowdown will draw out the cycle.

Existing-Home Sales Rise in March 2011

RISMEDIA, April 21, 2011—Sales of existing-home sales rose in March 2011, continuing an uneven recovery that began after sales bottomed last July, according to the National Association of REALTORS®. Existing-home sales, which are completed transactions that include single-family, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops, increased 3.7% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.10 million in March from an upwardly revised 4.92 million in February, but are 6.3% below the 5.44 million pace in March 2010. Sales were at elevated levels from March through June of 2010 in response to the home buyer tax credit.
